I can't believe I only have one day left til I go! My last day of work was Tuesday and I haven't really gotten to relax since then. Just busy running around getting last minute stuff in order. Everything is pretty much set, I just have to figure out a way to stuff all my junk in my backpack. Apparently there's techniques?
I got an email from the volunteer coordinator in Thailand and he told me more about the Thai family that I'll be staying with while I'm over there. I'll be staying with a woman named P Tuk, a 26 year old girl, two guys who are 29 and 21 a 4 month old baby. I'm not sure how they're all related yet but I heard it will be a great living situation and the meals are supposed to be amazing! I also found out that I'll be living with another volunteer. His name is Jon from Chicago, he's doing the same Buddhist Immersion program as me so apparently we'll get to ride bikes to the school every morning together... I've been contacting Jon through email and he's been giving me some helpful tips before I get there. 1) Bring LOTS of Bug repellent 2) Bring lots of Sunscreen 3) Don't worry about bringing toilet paper because it clogs the pipes, a HOSE will take care of that for me!!!!???? I don't understand at all? I thought maybe it was a bidet or something but I Googled it and it's definitely not a bidet...
(Note picture above) Sorry it's so disgusting but I may need help figuring this one out... Is that a water pipe and a bucket? Call me dense, but I don't get it. Who knows, maybe the Thais have the bathroom situation figured out, I'll come back only needing a hole in the ground and a bucket. It may catch on.

Um, Tessa....Tessa....TESSA LET ME OUT! Uh, you agreed to stow me away in your luggage remember? Well, I'm packed and ready. Like literally packed...in a duffle bag with my blankie, Mr. Wafflekins and my SpongeBob flashlight. But, I think there's a problem because I've been in here a while and I don't think I made it past customs.
It's dark in here and....well Mr. Wafflekins has to piddle.
